This study aimed to identify the impacts of the covid-19 pandemic on the mental health of nursing professionals in hospital contexts, according to the workers’ perspectives. This is a qualitative study carried out with 15 nursing professionals, interviewed through three online focus groups, analyzed using hermeneutics-dialectics. Three thematic categories emerged: "The pandemic has intensified the precariousness of nursing work", "Forms of emotional suffering faced by nursing" and "Devaluation despite efforts during the pandemic". It is urgent to strengthen health care services for workers and collective and permanent mobilization of the category to guarantee rights at work.
