This essay aims to analyze the intersectional violations of human and fundamental rights exposed in Itamar Vieira’s work, "Crooked Plow", which arise from the labor relations experienced by descendants of enslaved workers. For that, a national bibliographical review addressing the theme in a critical and descriptive way was conducted. The concept of human and fundamental rights was examined and, subsequently, the material inequality present in the book was highlighted, representing a clear social imbalance of submission and subjugation of the human condition to various forms of violence, which constitutes a violation of the Rule of Law. It is concluded that it is necessary to fulfill the commitments made within the international framework, as well as the fundamental rights established domestically by Brazil, through the implementation of affirmative public policies to effectively seek social equality and the right to decent work
