The application of gamification in the workplace has stood out as an innovative strategy to increase employee motivation and engagement. By incorporating gaming elements, companies aim to transform routine tasks into more engaging and challenging activities, while also overseeing and controlling the working relationship. In this context, the research that was developed using the critical deductive method aims to analyze this approach from a utilitarian perspective, as the theory is aligned with the tool that seeks the greatest good for the greatest number of people, generating positive results for employers. And, in theory, for employees. It was observed that gamification promotes a more productive work environment, although not always more pleasant, as aiming to maximize the company's collective benefits can generate exhaustion and excessive competition.
